About LIS2018

Welcome to the website of the 2018 International Conference on Library and Information Science (LIS 2018). The conference is to be held in Bangkok, Thailand during August 8 to 10. LIS 2018 aims to offer a forum for scholars, educators, LIS practitioners and professionals from different countries to share research achievements and to establish research network and to find global partners for future collaboration. Prospective contributors are welcome to submit full papers or abstracts through the online submission system. LIS 2018 welcomes contributors from LIS and other related areas to join this international event.All submissions to the BITE will be reviewed by at least two independent peers for technical merit and content. It is anticipated that a broad range of research and applied topics will be covered during the conference.


Bangkok, the Thai capital, is one of the world’s top tourist destination cities. Bangkok‘s multi-faceted sights, attractions and city life appeal to diverse groups of tourists. MasterCard ranked Bangkok as the global top destination city by international visitor arrivals in 2016 and 2017. Bangkok was also named “World’s Best City” by Travel + Leisure magazine’s survey. Royal palaces, temples as well as several museums constitute Bangkok’s major historical and cultural tourist attractions. Shopping and dining experiences offer a wide range of choices and prices. All participants not only will have a fruitful stay at the conference, but also an enjoyable stay at the city of Bangkok.

Call for Papers

LIS 2018 accepts both full papers and abstracts. We accept only manuscripts written in English. Manuscripts written in any language other than English will not be considered. And submit your manuscript in Microsoft Word format.

All submissions to the conference will be reviewed by at least two independent peers for technical merit and content. Manuscripts should conform to Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA Style). Please include contributor’s name, affiliation, mailing address, and email address. We will remove author identifying information before manuscripts are sent to reviewers.

I. Requirements for manuscript preparation.
Code of Conduct:
Contributors must confirm that manuscripts are UNPUBLISHED and NOT under review anywhere else.
Language:
Contributors MUST prepare their manuscripts in English. American or British style is acceptable, but contributors should use one consistently throughout.
Manuscript format:
Contributors are required to submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word. Manuscripts should conform to APA (American Psychological Association) style. For more technical specification regarding citations and references, please refer to Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.
Please download manuscript template for full-paper or abstract to prepare your manuscripts. Contributors who fail to prepare manuscripts in accordance with our “Requirements for manuscript preparation” will be asked to revise and re-submit their manuscripts.

II. Online submission
Submission method:
Use Conference Management System (CMS) to submit your manuscript.
Submission instruction:
1. Apply for a new account (Please click on “New Account”)
2. Fill out all the required information to establish your account. Contributors MUST provide valid email addresses.
3. Submit your manuscripts.
4. If your submission is successful, you will receive a confirmation email with paper number.
5. If contributors have more than one manuscript to submit, please use “New Submission” to add other manuscripts.

1. Authors who fail to complete registration process, their manuscripts will not be included in the proceedings. Unpaid manuscripts will be treated as withdrawn.
2. If a paper is multi-authored and additional authors would like to attend the conference, each delegate is required to register and pay the registration fee.
3. The conference registration fee covers admission to all conference sessions, conference program booklet, conference proceedings in CD-ROM format, lunch and coffee breaks.
4. For those authors who have restrictions by their country on the transfer of fees to another country (either by bank or credit card), please contact the Registration Secretariat at iclis.conf@gmail.com to register and discuss the possibility of on-site payment.
5. Cancellation Policy for the Conference
All cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing to the Registration Secretariat (iclis.conf@gmail.com). For cancellations postmarked on or before 23:59 (GMT+8), May 31, 2018, 75% of the registration fee will be refunded. For cancellations after 23:59 (GMT+8), May 31, 2018, no fees will be refunded.
